Centurion Hospice Wedding For Cancer Bride
Bernadette Wasserman, a Centurion Hospice supporter, and pizza lover was crowned as
the best pizza builder in Centurion at Rebels Pizza in Lyttelton on Saturday.
This winning pizza consists of bacon, avocado, mozzarella cheese, honey mustard and
pieces of steak. It is called the Centurion Hospice Pizza and will be available on the menu
soon.
The New In-Patient Unit of Centurion Hospice
The new in-patient unit of Centurion Hospice reminds one of a five star hotel.
“I can easily spend the last days of my life in one of these rooms. It is like a five-star hotel. One can die in peace and comfort here.”
These were the words of singer, chef and actor, Willie Strauss, after he has been taken on a tour through the newly refurbished In-Patient Unit (IPU) of Centurion Hospice earlier today.

This year’s theme is “my care, my comfort”, and Centurion Hospice honours this by the re-
opening of the In-Patient Unit (IPU) that closed around four years ago.
Well-known radio and television Riva Schoeman is the voice behind the microphone in a
series of podcasts that will be a first for any Hospice in South Africa.
The new podcasts series called: Port of Call from Centurion Hospice, will connect listeners
with experts as well as leaders in hospice and palliative care, with pertinent and heartwarming discussions about timely issues that patient’s, family members and friends are
faced with when a loved one is diagnosed with a terminal illness…
